It’s been a while since I’ve posted. I’ve been one busy beaver so to speak. That’s a good thing right?

One of the things I was working on was adding a book collection to Coaching With Jon. It is finished. The books are in PDF format and mostly relate to working online, scams, site flipping, blogging, etc.

There’s so many ebooks out there, and we tend to get busy leaving little time for reading. I understand completely. That’s why I only have a few available and tried to include books I thought might actually help someone.

Just remember one thing: working online takes work. You can’t buy an ebook and expect to make money if you don’t follow the instructions. Take action. There is no “Do nothing and get rich” jobs available. Even if you won the lottery, you still had to take action by purchasing a ticket

I hope the books help you. Feel free to leave a comment – good or bad. I take bad feedback as a guideline to make my business more user friendly. Most of the time bad feedback is really good feedback.

When creating squeeze pages, there is no longer a need to capture the first name. Just capture the email.

In years past, the name was good because you could do “name personalization” in the email you send out. Now everyone knows it’s a trick. It usually decreases response.

Capturing ONLY their email on the other hand almost always increases your conversion rates on your squeeze pages. So forget the name, capture the email address only.

#2 Send More Second Notices

At the very least, in your email marketing, you should add one more autoresponder messages, and email more frequently. The easiest way to do this is to take your last email you wrote, and just copy and paste it in again and send it out.

The only thing you change is the subject line to: second notice. And then say, “here is the email I sent you yesterday, in case you missed it…” and then just give them the same email. Almost no time or effort on your part… yet if you got any response at all from the first email, you will get results from this one as well.

#3 Test a Simplified Squeeze Page

If you have a squeeze page out there right now to build your list, and it’s over 100 words, make it less. Usually a lot less.

Just a headline, a subhead and a one sentence call to action works wonders. Just like the squeeze page giving away this free report. At the very least it’s worth a test. It almost always increases your conversion rates.

#4 Spend Less Time Studying

One of the ways to increase your profits is to simply take more action. Way too many Internet marketers study too much. You should – at the very least – act as much as you “study”.

So that means if you spent 10 minutes reading this report, you should follow it up immediately with at least 10 minutes of pure action to build your business. If you do nothing more but follow this rule: “take action at least as much as you study” your Internet business will meet with success.

#5 Use Weird Words in Headlines

This applies to email subject lines, blog post and article headlines and even sales letters. Weird words get attention, and can help get your message read. Some of my favorite words to use are unadulterated, shenanigans, bam-boozled, balderdash, flim flammed, dilly-dally and willy nilly.

#6 Super Short Email Subject Lines

Think about it – when your friends, co-workers, and family email you, they usually write very short email subject lines. So that helps you get YOUR emails you send opened.

Also, they stand out. Most marketers use super long subject lines, so yours will draw attention because they’re so short. Try it. You’ll be amazed at your open rates.

#7 Use Pattern Interrupts More

The last example (#6) is a pattern interrupt. Every other marketer goes long, you go short. Here’s another example of a pattern interrupt: On a call once, Jason was about to reveal a strategy for making money online.

He started it with: “What I’m about to show you, you probably won’t do even though if you did do it, your success would be almost guaranteed. However, even though it’s such a great strategy, almost everyone I share it with never does it… and I don’t know why… so you probably won’t do it… but if you did do it, man you’d get quick and easy results.”

This is a bit of reverse psychology. Most marketers frame it the other way – you can do it. Jason interrupts the pattern – you probably won’t do it… Result – people are more eager to prove him wrong, and actually do it!

#8 Sell Earlier

One of the biggest mistakes people make in marketing is they don’t sell early enough. Especially on low ticket products. Often times people leave the sales page before they even know what the offer is.

Sometimes the best thing to do is come right out in the first paragraph and say: “I’d like to sell you something. I think you’ll want to buy it, because it’s a really great deal. Here’s what it is…”

There are plenty of different ways to drive traffic to your pages. Article submission is one of them.

By submitting your articles to the web, you get people to read what you have to say, and you also get high quality, in-text back-links to your pages.

It can however take a while for you to submit all your articles manually. You first need to log in, then paste the article, format it, submit it, then sometimes even wait for approval… multiplied by the number of article directories you want to submit your articles to. How boring!

With the site I want to tell you about, there’s no need to log into every article directory… You can simply paste your article once, spin it, and the system takes care of the rest!

What is Search Engine Optimization?

Most people who have a website are trying to get their pages to show up on the front page of the Google, Yahoo or Bing search engines.

There are certain things you can do to make this happen. Examples are: Optimize title, content and keywords. In this post I will examine some elements and best practices for search engine optimization to help get your site a higher ranking.

You should know what areas you need to tweak to get the best results.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Structure

Title

The title of your page or post should correctly describe what your content is about and should contain your main keywords only once.

Don’t try to stuff too many keywords into the title. Avoid using long or vague titles. Be sure to use the title tags

in your pages to help the search spiders understand what your page is about. Titles appear in search results. Create different titles for each page so the search bots can tell you have different content on different pages. Also, keep your titles brief.

Description

Be sure to use the description meta tags in your html. This should be no more than 160 characters and provide a brief description of what the page is about.

 Search engines often use the description as ‘snippets’ in search engine results. That is why the description is important to search engine optimization and should contain a variation of your keywords or key phrase.

Avoid writing descriptions that are unrelated to the title and content of your page. Don’t fill the description with just keywords.

Search engines don’t like this and could penalize your site. Use a different description for each page on your site. Even if you have a blog, you should have a different description for each post/page. This is vital for SEO.

Content

Your content should ALWAYS be unique! Never copy and paste from another site or article directory. This is very important to your search engine optimization efforts.

Use a good mixture of keyword phrases. If you are writing about search engine optimization then also use the other popular phrases linked to the term such as SEO or page optimization.

Don’t overuse keywords. Sprinkle them throughout your content. A good measure would be using your keyword or phrase once or twice per 5 line paragraph. Your content should be descriptive and compelling to the reader to keep their interest.

Avoid writing content with spelling mistakes and bad grammar. Use a spell checker if you want to be thorough. Make sure your sentences make sense to the reader.

The ultimate goal of your page is to keep the visitor interested and show them your page is an authority on the given topic. This in turn will result in a possible sale of one of your products.

Keywords

Be sure to use the meta tags for keywords in your html.

Don’t use too many keywords and be sure your keywords are relevant to your content. Too many keywords will appear spammy to the search engine crawlers. Use relevant keywords and key phrases that match your title, description and content.

Search Engine Optimization Summary

These are just a few pieces of the SEO puzzle. Hopefully, this will give the beginner an idea of what search engine optimization is and how to best implement each element of the page structure.

There are many more ways to optimize a site for the search engines, but don’t forget your visitors. You should also make your site user friendly as well as Google friendly.

In later posts, I will cover more SEO aspects that are essential to higher ranking in search engines such as XML sitmaps, proper URL formatting and robot.txt files.

Here is one of my methods to get indexed quickly by Google so you can get your articles submitted without worrying about getting slapped for duplicate content and also to allow for the backlink to be a real backlink instead of the other way around:

First, go to RSS feed Directory – Feedage.com to create an account. When you log in, click on  the Home link.

Below the Quick Links menu, click on ‘HTML2RSS’.

Go to your site and copy the URL of your new or un-indexed page or post.

On Feedage.com, enter the URL into the ‘HTML2RSS’ field.

Click ‘Create My RSS’ to submit.

Take the RSS url and go to RSS Submit | Free Webmaster Tools. This will submit your RSS to over 20 RSS sites and get you some initial links too which is not bad.

You can also go to Pingomatic.com and submit the RSS too.

The next step is to go to Social Monkee and sign up. (This is also a free service that will submit your page to 25 social bookmarking sites.)

This is what I do to get my pages indexed. Most times it works, sometimes it takes around 48 hours. Better than 7 days though

There are plenty of reasons why adware is “bad.”  Are there any instances when adware is valid and authorized?

A number of shareware programs presently are available bundled with spyware and adware.  The basis is this:  If you try out the program, and enjoy it, you may use it.  Until you pay for it, the programmer is paid from the ads that the shareware program displays. 

If the user somehow kills or takes out the ads, consequently he is also forced to uninstall the program that was supported by the ads.

In many cases, such ads appear in the actual program, similar to a compact frame or corner of the program’s window.  In most cases, though, the ads are displayed by a solely separate program inside the same installer program.

In the event the spyware and adware is authorized, then it has to be explicitly displayed within the set up, and the user requires the option of not installing it.  This really is where adware acquired it’s inferior reputation. 

Many adware softwares simply install together with the ad-supported program, without ever informing the user. 

The user is then surprised by the ceaseless storm of pop up ads on his or her pc or laptop when he or she isn’t even visiting internet websites and the assortment of strange programs on the hard drive that he doesn’t recollect downloading.

The primary element of whether or not malware is “legitimate”:  When the user has no problem sharing demographics data for a product he or she enjoys using, then the malware that comes with that product is legal and acknowledged. 

Having said that, if a different user thereafter sits at the same computer–one that will not know the adware is there–then it’s no longer a legitimate application. 

The person being spied upon by way of the spyware, or perhaps made to view the pop-ups delivered by the spyware and adware, must understand as well as accept what the program will do.

So what do you do when you have installed legitimate spyware but no longer want it on your computer? In most cases, simply uninstalling the software will not do the trick.

The spyware will remain nested in your registry and system directory and will continue to haunt you. You will need specialized spyware removal tools in most cases. The solution I use in these kinds of situations is Malwarebytes.

Simply download the free version, run it, and see all the files left behind by the so called legitimate spyware. Malwarebytes can scan deep within your registry to find malware left behind by the software containing the unwanted adware.

Most of these files buried within the registry are impossible for a regular computer user to find. That is why we need specialized tools to help us.

Once you have scanned your PC with Malwarebytes and can view the files that need removed, just follow the on screen instructions to finish cleaning your system.

As you surf the web you will see numerous products for sale. Some products are physical products that you can buy and have delivered to your home. Some are digital products that you can download to your computer such as ebooks or software programs. Before you can start earning money online, you need something to sell. A product.

There are numerous ways to get a product to sell. Since we want our product to be download-able, we will need to find a digital product that buyers can download immediately after payment. I will assume you already have an account with Paypal, Payza, or another online payment processor. You will need this to be able to accept payments. If you don’t have an account with one of these payment processors, you need to do that now.

Now, back to our product. There are products you can purchase (sometimes you can get them free) called PLR. Private Label Rights products are ebooks or reports that give the buyer permission to resell them for 100% profits. To find PLR products that you can resell, just go to Google and type in private label rights. You should find a wealth of products you can use to resell.

Another way to get a product is to create your own. It’s not hard to create your own report or ebook and sell it. All you need to do is find a niche, or specialty that you are knowledgeable about. People are always looking for information. Just find a subject that is in demand and do research. Gather all the information you can about this subject and compile it into a special report. Then all you need to do is convert your work into a PDF file. I’ll cover this in another post.

So there ya have it! Now go and find something to research. And remember, your product must be a quality product with information that will help the person who is buying it. Selling junk will give you a bad name and you will lose customers who may have bought more from you had you sold them a quality product to begin with.

It’s a common problem. Computer slows down to a crawl, popups from out of nowhere, browser has a mind of it’s own, your homepage is no longer YOUR homepage.
